- Tarek Hamel, enseignant-chercheur à I3S, est porteur côté français de l'IRP-ARS (Advanced Autonomy for Robotic Systems) avec l'Australie (Australian National University). Le CRAN (Université de Lorraine, CNRS) et l'IRISA (Université de Rennes 1, CNRS, ...) sont également partenaire de cet IRP (Internationl Research Project, ex-LIA). L'IRP-ARS a débuté en 2020 pour une durée de 5 ans.
- Minh‐Duc Hua, chargé de recherche CNRS à I3S, Jochen Trumpf (Australian National University), Tarek Hamel enseignant-chercheur à I3S, Robert Mahony (Australian National University) et Pascal Morin (Sorbonne Université) ont reçu en 2020 le 3e Kimura Best Paper Award du Asian Journal of Control pour leur article “Feature-based Recursive Observer Design for Homography Estimation and its Application to Image Stabilization.” (Asian Journal of Control, Vol. 21, No. 4, pp. 1443-1458, July 2019). - Un des travaux de l'équipe SIS d'I3S a été mis en avant dans le journal Automatica (Editor's Choice) en mai 2020.
