Myriam FadelDirector
A research engineer, Myriam Fadel started her career at the French Ministry of Research, in the legal office of the Directorate General for Research and Technology (DGRT). In 1997, she joined the legal department of the INRA in Paris, where she headed the real estate service. She joined the CNRS Legal Affairs Department (DAJ) in 2003, at first taking charge of public commissions, and later risk management and criminal liability. She had been deputy director of the DAJ since 2013 before being appointed director in 2015.
Missions
Under the authority of the Scientific Office, the DAJ is in charge of:
- legal advice and assistance,
- expertise,
- monitoring laws and regulations,
- defending the organisation in legal terms.
It also provides secretarial services for the CNRS Board of Trustees and organises in-house electoral procedures.
