CNRS ranked among the world’s 100 best innovators of 2024
CNRS once again confirms its role as a key player in innovation on a worldwide scale: the institution appears on the list released by Clarivate of the Top 100 Global Innovators 2024. One of very few research organisations to earn this international distinction, CNRS is ranked 90th this year.
Clarivate’s annual Top 100 Global InnovatorsTM list honours the public and private organisations that have demonstrated consistent, above-the-bar innovation excellence and which sit at the very top of the global innovation ecosystem. To compile its report, Clarivate evaluates the quality of the candidates’ ideas, their power and their effect. This year marks the first time that Clarivate has revealed the ranking of each organisation in its Top 100.
“The continued presence of CNRS among the Top 100 Global InnovatorsTM 2024 comes in recognition of its leading role in the international innovation landscape, based on the richness and excellence of the basic research work conducted by the personnel at the laboratories under its supervision,” says CNRS Chief Innovation Officer Jean-Luc Moullet. “Protecting our research results is a strategic prerequisite for securing the investments made by the start-ups and our industrial partners to transform this research into marketable products. One of CNRS’s roles is to stimulate, facilitate and accompany the emergence of the innovations that originate in our laboratories.”
