The 'Cybersecurity' acceleration PEPR

The 'Cybersecurity' PEPR is part of the national cybersecurity acceleration strategy launched in February 2021. It has a budget of over one billion euros and aims to triple the industry's turnover by 2025.
In the framework of this strategy, the PEPR aims to support upstream cybersecurity research by exploring new directions likely to lead to breakthrough innovations of interest, with the aim of supporting and developing this sector in France.

Currently, the programme has been structured around 7 targeted projects. A call for projects will lead to 3 additional projects being launched. The PEPR also plans to drive the community more effectively by associating with existing resources such as the Computer Security Research Network (GDR).

The 'Cybersecurity' PEPR will involve around 200 permanent scientists from the CNRS, the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA) and 22 universities and schools. Around 140 PhD students will be trained through the 'Cybersecurity' PEPR by 2028 in addition to the post-doctoral students involved.
